The Pulp & Paper Safety Association celebrated its 76th year with the Annual Safety & Health Conference June 23-26 of this year.
The event consisted of a two and a half day technical program packed with education, strategies, and critical industry updates. Work safety professionals from across the United States gathered to talk shop, connect with their peers, and get inspired by other leaders with crucial face-to-face networking. Attendees had the opportunity to see fast, live demos and get rapid-fire information on the latest developments and solutions on the market. They got to see what’s new, reconnect with their current partners, and discover new ones with their access to over 40 top suppliers and consultants.
Some of the education topics discussed at the conference included:
- Safety leadership strategies
- Serious injury and fatality prevention
- The OSHA update
- New technology showcase
- Innovator and safety committee
- Contractor safety
- Employee engagements
At ProcessBarron, safety is a top priority. Our team was proud to attend the conference, and had a great time. Training and Communications Coordinator Lacey Cox said, “The 76th PPSA Conference was another successful show. I was impressed that they went outside the realm of safety and had Mr. Bowen, a retired basketball player, as the keynote speaker. It was a refreshing way to start out a safety conference. One thing I love about going to the PPSA Conference is that, yes you get the chance to meet new customers and revisit with existing customers, but it’s also like a big family reunion. You look forward to seeing people again each year.”
