During the month of October, ProcessBarron held multiple events and fun opportunities to raise money for United Way. This fundraiser consisted of three parts in which employees could participate.
First, employees could purchase a “Friday Jean Day” to be used once, or they could donate a larger amount in order to wear jeans every Friday for the remainder of the year. Next, a dunking booth event ensued. With multiple co-workers getting dunked, employees could donate certain amounts in order to have so many throws to dunk the person of their choice. Finally, a classic raffle was held with chances to win a variety of gift cards and donated items.
In addition to the fun, employees also had the option to make a one-time donation or have a specified amount taken out of each paycheck. ProcessBarron agreed to match 100% of all money raised during the fundraiser! Thanks to all of our employees and fundraising leaders, ProcessBarron was able to raise $17,733.08 (a new company record) for United Way. This year’s donations to United Way will benefit four local non-profits including Owens House (a children’s advocacy center), ARC, Meals on Wheels, and Oasis (a women’s counseling center).
United Way is a non-profit that has been around for over 125 years. The organization works to raise money from communities in order to assist and support local charities and nonprofits. To learn more information about United Way or how you can get involved, visit www.unitedway.org.
